Creating a new neighborhood amongst existing historical neighborhoods close to Lafayette’s downtown has been exciting and fun. I love the idea of having a new house, yet looking out my window and feeling like I’m part of an established neighborhood. The Erie Street project was, and is, a perfect fit for me, and Tempest did a great job on my house. But the very best part of the whole deal is the neighbors. An absolutely wonderful group of people have chosen Erie Street, from retirees to single people to families with young kids. Three babies have been born in our “hood.” We visit back and forth, help each other out and have had an annual Labor Day picnic from the very first year! Kathy Matter
